Several individuals sponsored by ECSU presented oral and poster presentations during IGARSS '08. Dr. Darnell Johnson, Chair of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department, presented "You Be the Polar Scientist: Design and Implementation of Underrepresented K-12 Student Involvement in Knowledge Transfer Activities Related To Remote Sensing Of Ice Sheets" a paper co-written with Dr. Linda Hayden. |
![LeCompte](images/lecompte.jpg) |
Dr. Malcolm LeCompte presented "Measuring the Temperature of Polar Ice Sheets", a hands on workshop utilizing infrared camera and objects with varyious temperature. This workshop illustrated how the surface temperature of polar ice sheets could be measured visually fromk space. |
