| MINORITY TRAVEL PROGRAM PURPOSE |

The Minority Travel Program (MTP) was established by the GRSS Society in 1997 for the purpose of increasing the number of Minority students involved in the activities of the Society, with the ultimate goal of improving Minority membership in the Society. An annual Grant of $12,500.00 was established to provide for student travel to the IGARSS symposium to give oral or poster presentations of their research upon approval by the IGARSS Technical Program Committee.
