Following the Distinguished Lecture Series and IEEE-GRSS meeting a poster session was held with students from the Undergraduate Research Program, Virginia State University, Norfolk State University, and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Project presenting their research. The Burroughs Wellcome Fund Project students are from surrounding counties who participated in a two week summer session consisting of environmental, ecological, and geological subjects meant to raise their interest and to instruct them in the disciplines of general research methods.
