2005/Spring 2006
- Identify
HBCU/MI faculty participants
for the summer workshop
- Revise
existing courses for use
by HBCU/MI faculty
- Identify
students for the next
academic year research program
- Faculty
and students participate
in GRSS chapter meeting
and IEEE Distinguished Lecture
at ECSU (include a pre-workshop
meeting)
Summer
2006
- Conduct
HBCU/MI faculty workshop
for 2 weeks on mentoring
and course implementation
- Submit
abstracts to AGU and GRSS
conferences
- Evaluation
(survey faculty members
who will teach the geoscience
courses)
- Make
annual report to NASA (descriptive
statistics, evaluation,
and performance measures)

Fall 2006
- Offer
first course at ECSU and
other HBCU/MI’s
- Submit
abstracts to/make presentations
at AGU and GRSS conferences
- Organize
and conduct visiting lecture
Spring
2007

second course at ECSU
