Meetings and Tours
Meetings, both formal and informal, took place throughout the symposium. Participants were also able to take part in local tours of the area.

Dr. Linda B. Hayden, Director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) attended the symposium and presented a report during the Technical Committees and Chapter Meeting. This report outlined the progress and events that have taken place with the IEEE Eastern NC Section Chapter of the IEEE-GRSS. She also took part in the poster session presenting "Development of Educational Partnerships Dedicated to Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets Cyberinfrastructure" in partnership with Terence Hughes, Ph.D., The University of Maine and Darnell Johnson, Ed.D., Elizabeth City State University.
