Dr. Linda Hayden
Dr. Linda Hayden serves as director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research housed on the campus of Elizabeth City State University. In that capacity she administers several programs including the NASA sponsored "Inspiring the Next Generation of Earth Explorers through Remote Sensing" and the ECSU efforts supporting the NSF Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets Project. Dr. Hayden also serves as Principal Investigator for the Navy funded Undergraduate Research Experience in Ocean and Marine Science and the NOAA project entitled “Conservation and Biology of Protected Species Using Remote Sensing Capabilities". She is a 2003 recipient of the NSF Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.
