In conjunction with the Spring Distinguished Lecture Series, a strategy session was held to give updates and proposals on research and technology at ECSU. Several presenters from ECSU spoke on topics from publications to impact research. A guest presentation was made by Dr. Leonid Sokoletsky (CV) on “Atmospheric Correction and Satellite Monitoring for Albemarle-Pamlico Estuary System (APES).” Dr. Sokoletsky will be working with Dr. Jinchun Yuan in the coming months on oceanographic research at ECSU. Dr. Linda Hayden, director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) and Dr. Harry Bass, Dean of the School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, welcomed the guests to the meeting.
