The close of the first week of the program brought a workshop from the Virginia Air & Space Center on Robotics and Earth Science. Mr. Parrish Crosby demonstrated the mechanics of robotics and used several hands-on demonstrations to illustrate his session. Mr. Tillman Hatcher took the students through a session on Earth Science focusing on the tectonic plates and fault lines. ECSU undergaduate student Diaminatou Goudiaby spoke to the students about her studies in college.
